From the client area you start, stop and restart the server, open the console right in the browser and reinstall the system with any of the 11 Linux images: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Alpine or Fedora. You also see the usage graphs there and change your hostname. The console keeps working when SSH stops answering, for example after a wrong firewall rule.
The values are the ones actually configured for each container.
Questions
A virtual Linux server with full root that shares the node's public IPv4 address with other customers. In return it gets a public IPv6 address of its own and 20 IPv4 ports on request. That is also why it costs less than a VPS with a dedicated IPv4.
Open a ticket to Technical Support. You get 20 consecutive ports on the node's public IP, each forwarded to the same port number on your server, for example 20001 to 20020. Then you set your services to listen on those ports, SSH included if you want to connect over IPv4.
Yes, directly on the IPv6 address. Visitors who only have IPv4 cannot reach it on the usual ports 80 and 443, though, because those cannot be given to a single customer. You can put the site behind a proxy that accepts IPv6-only origins, such as Cloudflare. For an ordinary site, web hosting is the simpler choice.
The server is created automatically after payment, usually within minutes. You get the access details by email, and the console and the other options are in the client area.
The included traffic resets on the 1st of every month. If you use it up earlier, the server is suspended until the next reset, so pick a plan with some margin if you expect spikes.
At very small amounts the payment processing fee would take too large a share of the price on every invoice. Yearly billing keeps the monthly equivalent low. NVPS 1, 2 and 4 can be paid from 3 months, and NVPS 6 and 8 monthly too.
You do. We take care of the infrastructure, the network and the availability of the node. The operating system, applications, updates, security and backups of your data stay with you.
A CrockyHost NAT VPS is a Linux container (LXC) on Proxmox VE with full root access, its own public IPv6 address and 20 IPv4 ports on request, on the node's shared IPv4 address. It has no dedicated IPv4, which is why it costs less than a classic VPS.
NVPS Micro costs 7.99 € a year. NVPS 1, 2 and 4 are paid from 3 months, at 4.50 €, 7.50 € and 10.00 € per quarter respectively. NVPS 6 costs 5.00 € a month and NVPS 8 costs 7.50 € a month. Prices exclude VAT.
From the client area you reinstall the server with one of the 11 Linux images: Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Alpine or Fedora.
Yes, if the game accepts a custom port: players connect with the node's IPv4 address and the port assigned to you. You ask for the 20 ports through a ticket to Technical Support.
A NAT VPS costs little because it shares the node's IPv4 address with other customers. That has a few consequences worth knowing upfront:
The server is created by itself after payment, usually within minutes, and the 20 IPv4 ports are one ticket away.
