If your site is hosted elsewhere, we help you move it to us free of charge: files, databases and email. You pay only for the hosting you choose, not for the move.

Free migration covers cPanel hosting, WordPress hosting and the reseller plans. On NAT VPS and dedicated servers you run the server yourself, so you do the move; if you like, we tell you where to start.

How it goes

  1. Write to us before you order with where the site is hosted now, which panel it has (cPanel, Plesk, DirectAdmin or another), how many sites and how much space they take.
  2. We tell you which plan fits and how the move works in your case.
  3. You order the plan. Entry, Pro and Business have a free 7-day trial, once per plan.
  4. We copy the files, databases and email from your old host, using the access or backup you give us.
  5. We check the site on our side before you change the nameservers, so you can see it all works.
  6. You change the nameservers at the domain registrar; if you do not know where, we help you find it.

What you send us

  • From another cPanel: a full account backup or cPanel access. A backup moves everything: sites, databases, email.
  • From another panel: FTP or SFTP access, access to the databases and mailboxes, or their exports.
  • A WordPress site: administrator access or a full backup made with a plugin.

Send access details only in a ticket, from your client account, not by email. After the move, change the passwords at your old host.

What to watch out for

  • How long it takes depends on the size of the site and how quickly the old host responds. We tell you once we see what you have.
  • The old site stays online until you change the nameservers, so the move is made on a copy. After the change, DNS updates within a few hours; meanwhile do not edit the site, as some visitors still reach the old server.
  • Email that lands on the old server during the change is copied over once more at the end.
  • The domain does not have to move with the site. You can transfer it to us later; for .ro, a transfer costs the same as a renewal.
  • Do not cancel the old hosting until you have confirmed everything works with us.
