1. WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY APPLIES TO
1.1. This policy is issued by S.C. CROCKY S.R.L. (CUI RO50515950, J2024020698007, Str. Drăgaica nr. 5, sat Balasan, mun. Băilești, jud. Dolj, Romania), operating under the trade names "CrockyHost" and "Crocky", and describes the cookies and similar technologies used on the website and client platform https://crocky.host (including the subdomains used for the client account, orders and support).
1.2. This policy supplements the Privacy Policy, published at https://crocky.host/legal/privacy-policy, which describes how we process personal data. Contact for questions: gdpr@crocky.host.
1.3. This policy does not apply to websites we host for our clients; each client is responsible for their own cookie policy.
2. WHAT COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES ARE
2.1. Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They allow the website to recognise you on subsequent visits, keep you logged in, remember your preferences or protect forms against abuse.
2.2. Cookies may be: (a) session cookies, deleted when the browser is closed, or persistent, kept until an expiry date; (b) first-party, placed by crocky.host, or third-party, placed by other domains whose components are loaded on the page.
2.3. Similar technologies include browser local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage), tracking pixels and device identifiers. On crocky.host we do not use tracking pixels; local storage is used only for interface preferences, without identification.
3. LEGAL BASIS AND CONSENT
3.1. The use of cookies is governed by art. 4 of Romanian Law no. 506/2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector, which transposes art. 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC, and by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) to the extent cookies process personal data.
3.2. Strictly necessary cookies for providing a service expressly requested by you (authentication, session, shopping cart, security) do not require consent, under art. 4(6) of Law no. 506/2004, and are always placed.
3.3. We also consider strictly necessary the cookies placed by the Google reCAPTCHA service, which we use to protect the registration, login, order and contact forms against bots, fraudulent registrations and automated attacks. Without this protection, the client platform cannot operate securely and the forms cannot be made available. The legal basis for processing the associated data is our legitimate interest in ensuring the security of the service (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and the cookies are placed for the purpose of providing the service you requested, under art. 4(6) of Law no. 506/2004. Details in art. 4.3.
3.4. Since we do not use cookies requiring consent, the banner displayed on your first visit is informative: it informs you of the use of cookies and refers you to this policy, without asking you to accept or refuse anything. If we introduce non-essential cookies in the future, we will request consent before placing them.

4.3. Note on reCAPTCHA. Google reCAPTCHA is a service of Google Ireland Ltd., loaded on pages containing protected forms. The service may process the IP address, browser and device data, the way you interact with the page and existing google.com cookies, and may transmit these data to Google LLC (USA), on the basis of Google's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google may also use these data for its own purposes, described in its privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy. Google terms: https://policies.google.com/terms. We receive from Google only the verification result (the risk score), which we do not link to other data except for the purpose of preventing abuse. If you do not want Google to process your data, please do not use the protected forms and contact us directly at contact@crocky.host; you may also restrict google.com cookies in your browser settings, in accordance with Section 7.
4.4. The exact names and durations of cookies may vary depending on the platform version and browser settings; the list above is updated with every relevant change.
5. COOKIES WE DO NOT USE
5.1. On crocky.host we do not use: third-party traffic analytics cookies (Google Analytics, third-party hosted Matomo, Hotjar etc.); advertising or remarketing cookies (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight etc.); social network cookies ("like" or share buttons loading third-party scripts); cross-site tracking cookies; third-party chat services.
5.2. The traffic statistics we consult are obtained exclusively from our own web server logs, without cookies and without identifying visitors, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
5.3. If we introduce such tools in the future, we will update this policy and request consent before activating them.
6. COOKIES IN SERVICE CONTROL PANELS
6.1. The services you contract are managed through control panels (cPanel/WHM, Virtualizor, Proxmox, Pterodactyl/WISP.gg, WP Squared), accessible on domains or ports other than crocky.host. These panels place exclusively strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session (for example cpsession for cPanel, PVEAuthCookie for Proxmox, pterodactyl_session for Pterodactyl), without any tracking purpose, and do not require consent.
6.2. The respective vendors' documentation describes these cookies in detail. We do not control and are not responsible for cookies placed by third-party websites that may be linked from crocky.host.
7. HOW TO MANAGE YOUR PREFERENCES
7.1. Cookie banner. On your first visit we inform you about the use of cookies and refer you to this policy. Since we do not use cookies requiring consent, there are no accept or refuse options; management is done from the browser, in accordance with art. 7.2.
7.2. Browser settings. You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will make it impossible to log in to the client account. 7.3. Google cookies can be deleted or blocked from your browser settings (blocking third-party cookies). Blocking them may cause the reCAPTCHA verification to require solving a visual challenge or to fail; in that case you may contact us directly at contact@crocky.host.

8. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
8.1. We may update this policy when we change the cookies used or when legislation so requires. The current version, with the date of last update, is permanently published at https://crocky.host/legal/cookie-policy. When new cookies requiring consent are introduced, we will implement a consent mechanism before placing them.
