What hosting a website costs in 2026 - What hosting a website costs in 2026, and how to choose a plan

For a small site, hosting and a domain come to a little over €22 a year, excluding VAT: €11.90 for Entry hosting and €10.49 for a .ro domain. The big differences between offers show up at renewal, in VAT and in what you actually get for the money. Below are our prices on 15 October 2026 and the questions worth asking anyone who sells you hosting, us included.

In short

  • One site, a business site or a blog: Entry, €11.90 a year.
  • Up to 3 sites: Pro, €2.99 a month or €29.90 a year.
  • Up to 5 sites, with a domain included: Business, €5.99 a month or €59.90 a year.
  • A WordPress site with staging and automatic updates: Blog, €2.99 a month.
  • Sites for your own clients: reseller, from €11.99 a month.
  • Root access: NAT VPS from €7.99 a year, a dedicated server from €42 a month.

Prices exclude VAT. In lei they follow the day's rate: on 15 October, Entry cost 63.60 lei a year and Pro 15.98 lei a month.

What you actually pay for

Hosting is the space and computing power your site runs on. The domain is the address, paid separately every year. On top of both comes VAT: 21% in Romania, at any VAT-registered company.

If an offer looks a fifth cheaper, check whether the price includes VAT: some companies are not VAT-registered and do not add it. For a private person the difference is real; for a VAT-registered business, which deducts it anyway, it is not.

Domains, per year, excluding VAT: .ro €10.49, .com €13.49, .eu €6.49, .net €14.49. With us, renewal costs the same as registration for all four. Business and Ultimate, paid for 1, 2 or 3 years, include a .ro, .com, .net or .eu domain for the first year.

cPanel hosting, plan by plan

  • Entry, €11.90 a year: 1 site, 5 GB on NVMe, 1.5 GB RAM and 150% CPU reserved. Paid for 6 months or a year.
  • Pro, €2.99 a month: 3 sites, 20 GB, 3 GB RAM and 200% CPU.
  • Business, €5.99 a month: 5 sites, 40 GB, 4.5 GB RAM and 300% CPU, SSH access, a domain included when paid for 1 to 3 years.
  • Ultimate, €9.99 a month: 11 sites, 100 GB, 6 GB RAM and 400% CPU.

"Reserved" means the memory and processor in the plan belong to your account, not shared with your neighbours on the server. That is why we write figures, not "unlimited resources". All the details are on the cPanel hosting page.

WordPress, reseller, VPS and dedicated

  • WordPress hosting, from €2.99 a month (Blog, one site) to €29.99 (Newspaper). Small Business, €6.99 a month, has 5 sites and a domain included on yearly billing.
  • Reseller, from €11.99 a month: 20 cPanel accounts, your own WHM and nameservers under your brand.
  • NAT VPS, from €7.99 a year: Linux with root, a public IPv6 and 20 IPv4 ports.
  • Dedicated server, from €42 a month: a whole machine, with root and anti-DDoS.

What to check in any offer

  1. The renewal price. A big first-month discount is only good if you know what you pay afterwards. With us, the prices on the pages are also the renewal prices; a discount code, when there is one, says how long it lasts.
  2. VAT. Whether the price includes it, and whether the company is VAT-registered.
  3. Resources. How much RAM and CPU your account has. "Unlimited" almost always comes with a usage limit, written in the terms.
  4. Backups. How often they run and who restores them. Our cPanel hosting is backed up every night.
  5. Moving. Who moves your site and what it costs. We help you move it for free.
  6. Trying. Can you test before you pay? Entry, Pro and Business have a free 7-day trial, once per plan.

And the site itself?

If you are not building it yourself, the price of a site depends on how many pages it has and who keeps it current after launch. On crocky.ro, where we build websites for businesses, prices are in plain sight: a subscription from €28 a month, with hosting and changes included, or paid once: €94 for a landing page, €281 for a business site with several pages and from €562 for an online shop. All excluding VAT.

If you are not sure which plan fits, write to us and we will tell you before you pay anything.
